In my last daily create, I mentioned how I had recently visited Mexico during the march break of 2019. I had done so for my Citizenship course and spent an entire week down in Cuernavaca, Mexico. There we visited an elementary school and got to teach Spanish raised children, English. It was an awesome experience and is always something I come to think back on. I got to meet a lot of amazing people as well as become somewhat of a world traveler.
This was actually my first time traveling out of the States so it had me pretty nervous. In fact, out of my direct family (mom/dad), I’m one of the first to travel to a foreign nation.
In honor of my trip, I’ve decided to try and convert some of my old photos into today’s Blog. I’ll also be including some photos of the animals I encountered during the time away.
I think it’s important to recognize the amount of diversity that is held within our world. Even if I was a country away, it seemed as if I was encountering all sorts of alien creatures/species. Yet I was also encountering animals that I’m all but familiar with.
I’m glad for the time I spent in Mexico and thankful that I was able to have such an experience. If you ever have the chance to join a travel course I highly recommend it!
